People living with diabetes invited to have their say

28 January 2015

People living with diabetes in North East Essex are being invited to local events during February and early March to hear more about NEEDS and have their say about the local diabetes service which was introduced in April 2014.

The friendly and informal events will include presentations and roundtable discussions and give people living with diabetes the opportunity to get involved and give their feedback.

The NEEDS (North East Essex Diabetes Service) events are free to attend and take place in Clacton (5th and 28th February); Harwich (11th February); Colchester (14th and 25th February); Jaywick (19th February) and Walton-on-Naze (4th March).

Julie Smith, Operations Director for NEEDS (North East Essex Diabetes Service), said: “We look forward to welcoming people living with diabetes to our local events so they can get involved and have their say about the services they receive through NEEDS.”

Diabetes UK is working closely with the service, which is commissioned by the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.
