DESMOND is a patient education session aimed at those living with Type 2 diabetes who were diagnosed with diabetes over 6 months ago. This session is a full day of diabetes education where you will cover topics such as: Diagnosis Complications Fats and carbohydrates Blood glucose monitoring Exercise These sessions can have up to 13 participants and are taught by two diabetes educators. The Tendring Diabetes Patient Group (also known as the Tendring Forum) meets the first Thursday of every month from 10.30am-12.30pm at CVS Tendring in Rosemary Road, Clacton-on-Sea. The purpose of the group is to provide a single place for people living with diabetes to meet and learn more about the condition. CLIMB is a patient education session aimed at those living with Type 2 diabetes. The session covers carbohydrate awareness and insulin awareness. The purpose of the forum is for people living with diabetes and their carers to meet and discuss the diabetes service and provide feedback to the Diabetes Services Board which steers how the service is run.
